Getting Started

Sync your first order in about 10 minutes

WholesaleBridge takes the tracking data you already create when you ship — your UPS WorldShip, FedEx, or ERP export — and pushes it into Faire automatically. No integration, no software to install. Here's how to get connected.

Before you start, you'll need:

Step 1 — Connect your Faire account

WholesaleBridge needs permission to read your open orders and write tracking back to them. There are two ways to grant it. Option A is the easiest.

Option A — Connect with Faire (recommended)

  1. In WholesaleBridge, go to Settings.
  2. In the Faire Integration card, click Connect with Faire.
  3. You'll be taken to Faire and asked to approve access to your orders and shipments. Click Authorize.
  4. Faire sends you back to WholesaleBridge with a green "Faire connected" confirmation. That's it — no keys to copy.

Option B — Paste an API key from your Brand Portal

Prefer to use a key you generate yourself? Faire supports this for single brands.

  1. Sign in to Faire and open your Brand Portal.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations → API (sometimes shown as "API tokens" or "Developer").
  3. Click Generate API token. Give it a name like "WholesaleBridge" and copy the token that appears — Faire only shows it once.
  4. Back in WholesaleBridge, go to Settings → Faire Integration, paste the token into the Faire API Key box, and click Connect Faire.
Your key is safe. Whether you connect with Faire or paste a key, it's encrypted at rest (AES-256) in an isolated vault, never shown again, and wiped from memory after each sync. WholesaleBridge staff cannot see it.

Step 2 — Upload your shipping export

  1. Go to the Dashboard (the "Faire Sync" page).
  2. Drag your shipping file onto the upload area, or click to browse. CSV and UPS WorldShip XML are both supported — any delimiter.
  3. WholesaleBridge reads your file and shows a preview of the first few rows.

Step 3 — Map your columns (first time only)

The first time you upload a given file format, WholesaleBridge auto-detects which of your columns hold the PO number, carrier, tracking number, and shipping cost. Confirm or adjust the matches, give the mapping a name (e.g. "UPS WorldShip Export"), and save.

You only do this once per format. Every future upload with the same columns skips straight to syncing. You can review, re-map, or delete saved mappings anytime under Settings → Saved Mappings.

Set a shipping cost rule (optional)

While mapping, you can choose how shipping cost is reported to Faire: pass the actual cost through, offer free shipping, apply a flat rate, add a percentage, or cap it. Most brands pass the actual cost through.

Faire's 50% rule. Faire won't accept a shipping charge above 50% of an order's subtotal. WholesaleBridge checks this for you and holds any order that exceeds it for review, rather than letting Faire reject the whole batch.

Step 4 — Review and sync

WholesaleBridge validates every row before anything reaches Faire:

That's the whole loop. After the first setup, a normal day is: export from your shipping software → drag the file in → done.

Optional — Automatic sync with a webhook

Want to skip the manual upload entirely? Under Settings → Automatic Sync, generate a webhook URL and paste it into Faire's webhook settings. Faire will then notify WholesaleBridge of order updates directly.

Optional — Push tracking to Shopify too

If you also run a Shopify store, connect it under Settings → Shopify Integration. After syncing to Faire, WholesaleBridge can push the same tracking to your matching Shopify orders and (if you choose) trigger Shopify's shipping-confirmation email to the customer.
