Getting Started
Sync your first order in about 10 minutes
WholesaleBridge takes the tracking data you already create when you ship — your UPS WorldShip, FedEx, or ERP export — and pushes it into Faire automatically. No integration, no software to install. Here's how to get connected.
- A Faire brand account (the account you use to sell wholesale)
- A recent shipping export from your carrier or shipping software (CSV or XML)
Step 1 — Connect your Faire account
WholesaleBridge needs permission to read your open orders and write tracking back to them. There are two ways to grant it. Option A is the easiest.
Option A — Connect with Faire (recommended)
- In WholesaleBridge, go to Settings.
- In the Faire Integration card, click Connect with Faire.
- You'll be taken to Faire and asked to approve access to your orders and shipments. Click Authorize.
- Faire sends you back to WholesaleBridge with a green "Faire connected" confirmation. That's it — no keys to copy.
Option B — Paste an API key from your Brand Portal
Prefer to use a key you generate yourself? Faire supports this for single brands.
- Sign in to Faire and open your Brand Portal.
- Go to Settings → Integrations → API (sometimes shown as "API tokens" or "Developer").
- Click Generate API token. Give it a name like "WholesaleBridge" and copy the token that appears — Faire only shows it once.
- Back in WholesaleBridge, go to Settings → Faire Integration, paste the token into the Faire API Key box, and click Connect Faire.
Step 2 — Upload your shipping export
- Go to the Dashboard (the "Faire Sync" page).
- Drag your shipping file onto the upload area, or click to browse. CSV and UPS WorldShip XML are both supported — any delimiter.
- WholesaleBridge reads your file and shows a preview of the first few rows.
Step 3 — Map your columns (first time only)
The first time you upload a given file format, WholesaleBridge auto-detects which of your columns hold the PO number, carrier, tracking number, and shipping cost. Confirm or adjust the matches, give the mapping a name (e.g. "UPS WorldShip Export"), and save.
Set a shipping cost rule (optional)
While mapping, you can choose how shipping cost is reported to Faire: pass the actual cost through, offer free shipping, apply a flat rate, add a percentage, or cap it. Most brands pass the actual cost through.
Step 4 — Review and sync
WholesaleBridge validates every row before anything reaches Faire:
- Clean rows sync to Faire automatically.
- Flagged rows — a tracking number that doesn't match the carrier's format, a duplicate, or a missing field — land in the Tracking Review holding pen on your dashboard. Fix the tracking number inline and it syncs on the spot.
- Non-Faire rows in your export are skipped automatically.
That's the whole loop. After the first setup, a normal day is: export from your shipping software → drag the file in → done.
Optional — Automatic sync with a webhook
Want to skip the manual upload entirely? Under Settings → Automatic Sync, generate a webhook URL and paste it into Faire's webhook settings. Faire will then notify WholesaleBridge of order updates directly.
Optional — Push tracking to Shopify too
If you also run a Shopify store, connect it under Settings → Shopify Integration. After syncing to Faire, WholesaleBridge can push the same tracking to your matching Shopify orders and (if you choose) trigger Shopify's shipping-confirmation email to the customer.
